Dealing with the Sickness

Hello Everyone~~
I actually racked my brain whether to post this blog or another one with a different topic,
But I thought this would be more appropriate, considering that the change of seasons is when most
People get sick,
I always hated using man made anti-bio-tics, they always tasted horrible and they effect your natural immune system.
So Here are some of my favourite home remedies, that I have tried and worked perfectly fine for me~
P.S. This post might be long, because I'm trying to cover all my home remedies here, which are quite a few ^w^

First are the things you should always do no matter what your symptoms are:

1- Sleep~~
or just resting and lying down in general, it helps your body focus on fighting what's causing you sick,
and I found out that I get better quicker when I'm taking it easy while I'm sick.

2- Hydration
You know water is good for you, there is no reason for you to stop drinking it when you're sick,
think of water as a cleansing mechanism, it cleans your body from toxins all the time, it will help you clean up the sickness quicker. *I love water <3*

3- Vitamins
Multivitamins and especially vitamin C helps prevent getting sick, and when the sickness already occurred it helps reduce the symptoms. I'm not saying go pill pop or something, I can't eat citrus fruits cause I get an annoying allergic reaction where all around my mouth gets red and itchy, that's why I substitute with tablets, but if you can get them of more natural sources it's even better

Now for the more specific remedies for specific symptoms ^w^:

A-  Sore Throat:
I inherited my dear mother's gigantic tonsils, and anything could agitate them, before I used to be terrified of sore throats, cause it always ended up in causing a cough *which never goes away quickly.
that was I discovered my ultimate sore throat healer *Drumroll please*

1- Green Tea~~ <3
OMG!!! I love green tea so much!!!! It does wonders for sore throat, and for your body in general,
considering it's packed with antioxidants and all the good stuff for you, green tea is like miracle healer or something *at least for me* I take my green tea with a spoon and a half of honey *which is also good for you* twice a day and the next morning, my sore throat is gone~~~

2- Honey <3
First of all, no processed honey, it's not going to work. It's preferably organic, but the honey I use is straight from the honey farms, full with the wax which is stores the honey in, so I know it pure and awesome.
Also did you know that honey never spoils, like ever!! I'm not getting into that long story or all the amazing properties of it, but if you want a quick fix, a spoon full of honey *which might be incredibly sweet* calms your throat right away and makes it feel better.

3- Olive Oil
  Ok, I'm not really a fan of this remedy, not because it doesn't work *which is does amazingly*, but because of it's taste *it's sooo bitter* you need to take also a spoon full of olive oil *yuck it tastes so horrible, it's like the opposite of honey* and your rough cough exhausted throat will calm immediately.

4- Hot Lemon
 That's my mom's favourite remedy *I prefer green tea :P* when I was younger my mom would always boil some lemons in hot water and makes me drink it *it's not that bad tasting though* she also put a bit of honey for that extra kick to fix me quickly. *Also a quick tip, if you inhale the steam from the boiling lemon water it helps open your clogged nose ^w^*

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
B- Clogged nose *no better name for it, cause it's the truth :P*
There is so much you can do to fix a runny nose and now we start with the:
1- Boiling water steam
Put a towel over your head and inhale the steam, careful not to get burned, steam burns are worse than boiling water burns. It's even better if there were some lemon slices, chamomile and mint leaves in the water *boil it with the water, not add them later* that will really help.
2- Chili Paste??
Probably my favourite idea ever, did I mention that chili paste also help with the sore throat?? Well, but for it to work you need to use really spicy chili paste *if you have no endurance don't use it* I always loved spicy Indian food, so this is kinda perfect for me, I usually take not so much, around three drops and place is in the center of my tongue *don't ask why, but that's the only spot where it works perfectly* I leave it a bit and inhale slowly and my clogged nose starts opening up~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So basically these are all my home remedies, I hope they're useful and help you keep the sickness at bay~
and thank you for reading ~~ <3

See you guys on the next post,and take care
Love & Kisses to all <3
