The Time Keeper Book Review

Today's blog post is a book review~~

I honestly am in love with this book

as I haven't felt like this since I've read the Alchemist

Alright Let's start~~

The Time Keeper is one of those interesting novels that has a twist

and Will probably leave the a huge impact on the reader's life

My thoughts on it start from here:

So this book talks about Dor who spent his whole life wanting to count time

and it shows how humanity went downhill from there

Days and satisfaction slowly disappeared from the heart of humans

leaving them always striving for more

More time

More work

More accomplishment

More money

More stress

More Fear

More Terror

Nothing is enough

Nothing has a meaning

Everything stays for a bit and then

Leaves an empty feeling behind it

Why?

Why did Humanity need more time?

Why isn't anything enough?

That is because every Human is wrapped up in their own world

they don't look around them

They don't think

They only want more

Greed

and in that they want to live Forever

after all

There's nothing more than Forever

I loved this particular part in the book:

"There's a reason why God limits our days." Dor

"Why?" Vicktor asks

"To Make each one precious"

This book

Has taught me that time is a blessing

it's precious

and there's no need to be greedy 

you get what you need

As long as you make the most of it

I recommend this book for anyone who wants their life changed Forever

to have their concept 

their thoughts

and their reality awakened

It will change how you see things

and as I went through the books I got goosebumps all the time

it's an amazing ready

and it's not too long which makes it all worth the while as well.

Dynasty Warriors 8 Game Review

Hello my Kittens~

I know it's been a while since I posted anything

mainly I didn't have anything useful to blog about for a while

but I did recently get Dynasty Warriors 8

one of my favourite franchises ever, 

it's a simple easy to follow game

you don't need to play the other games in order to enjoy this game

the other game behind it might be a hint of the upcoming video game review XD

So why do I like this game?

1. Story Mode

Just Like 7 the characters varies from one stage to the other under the same families? (clans or whatever you want to call them)

Which already gets you an extra involvement with the stage and the story

but in this one you get to choose from the characters that participate in this stage,

which is even more awesome, cause you can play the same clan 3-4 in order to get

each character's side story or special lines in each stage~

Not only that I feel that the characters are a lot more expressive, I mean one of my favourite clans is 

Wu and has always been, but after this one Wu moved to the 3rd place in all this

First place goes to Jin, mainly cause Zhang Chunhua is freaking awesome

and has Sima Yi whipped XD

the character interaction in this family is just pure amazing,

I do recommend everyone to play her, mainly because all the Jin characters say the funniest rallying line with her in charge~

2nd comes Wei Cause Cao Cao is freaking awesome! enough said

and as usual the boring do-gooders come in last place for me Shu

~~~

I don't like that Cai Wenji was thrown off the character list like nothing, work on her more!!

Also the Others have a weird system, you don't get a story for each

no you just get a single stage, which is boring!

~~

2. Free Mode

There's nothing much to say about this really, cause in this one you choose whatever character

you want and play in whatever stage you want, at whatever difficulty.

That's why it's called Free Mode.

~~~

Let's Move to my favourite mode! yes it official has beaten Story mode!

3. Ambition Mode!!!

OMG this is like perfection!

you get to build your own capital in the chaos, upgrade the facilities and find allies, materials and fame

all in order to establish a name for yourself in a land of chaos!

Here's the fun part

you choose whatever character you want and build them up strengthen them,

build bonds with the "Famous Allies" which are the playable characters~

And not only that, say you got bored of your current character

and you have a "Famous Ally" like Gan Ning for example

you can switch the character easily with no fuss~~

How awesome is that?

Ambition mode does take a lot of time to complete

mainly cause you have to focus on so many things all at the same time

it won't leave you bored~

~~~

So by far this is the Best Dynasty Warriors Yet, cause it has a bit of an element from 

empires, which is the build your own land thing, if only they would add this feature in Empires 8 and it 

would be flawless!!!

I will also replay all the Story modes again as long as the Japanese Voices are released for the fact

that the regular voices aren't so awesome....

so it gets a 4.75/5 cause of Ambition mode alone~ <3

The Kane Chronicles Book 3 The Serpent's Shadow review

Hello my kittens~~

I've been reading my favourite author's books

back to back cause Rick Riordan is just that awesome!!!

Anyways~

Today's post is the review of the Last book in the Kane Chronicles

which was a bit sad cause it was supposed to be a 5 book series

but Rick Riordan decided not to do that

which I think it's a good idea because the main story ended beautifully

it's better to die a hero than live long enough to see yourself become the villain XD

He did however say that there is a possibility 

that he might write about the Kanes in the future *fingers crossed~~*

Also another sad note, is that 

I got the Hardcover the moment it came out

*I just got around to reading it sue me!*

which doesn't include the Son of Sobek crossover between Percy Jackson and the Olympian

and the Kane Chronicles which is killing me!! 

I can easily get the digital copy but I hate reading digital books...

So I might go and buy the paperback just to read the Son of Sobek XD

Anyways let's get to the book, 

as a known fact of Rick Riordan he writes his books so that 

it's physically impossible for you to put it down

because it's so well written and so action packed that you need to know what happens next

in this book it roughly picks up where it left off in the last one 

Here you get a deeper look at the struggle the main characters go through

I mean come on!

being a teenager is hard enough!

but being a teenager who is a training magician who has to find a way

to kill the big bad thing that's going to destroy the world

while not having that much help from anyone and problems with a love-life

that's got to give you a major headache!

I completely enjoyed this book

it had so many points where I laughed and so many where I almost cried

it's a fantastic ending *for now as stated in the chapters' list*

and it always keeps you guessing~

Also I completely love the Percy Jackson world references~~

it's sooooooo awesome!!

Considering I'm a fan of both series 

I kinda fangirl a bit everytime I read a reference~~

As always Rick Riordan gets nothing less 

than a 5/5 

although I should give him a lower score so he should continue the series XD

but oh well...

These are my thoughts about the book which I finished it in less than a week of reading~~

My next on the reading list is the Assassin's Creed Secret Crusade

I'm going to have to spend a one on one with Altair....

*I don't like the dude very much...*

Marks of Athena Book Review

Hello my Kittens~~

Today's post is going to be a book review by one of my Favourite authors

Rick Riordan~~

~~

Rick Riordan is a magician when it comes to writing novels

with Mythology as it's foundation,

his books are amazing!

~~~

So Let's start~

Oh dear I don't know where or how to start rating this book,

This was amazing!!

Picked up right after the ending of the Sun of Neptune

This baby was 576 pages of action packed

heart pumping

amazing character development and interaction

goodness!

I've always been a fan of Rick Riordan, I finished the whole Percy Jackson and the Olympians books

in less than a week!

So it was no shocker to me that the man is amazing! 

but this book 

this book is the top of them all

I honestly don't know how the House of Hades can match up to this

but Knowing Rick Riordan it'll probably be even more breathtaking!

and as usual the ending was a freaking 

CLIFF HANGER

no spoiler intended XD

you'll only understand if you finish the book so no worries

I really loved this book,

I could've finished it sooner

*took me around a week*

but I do have a packed summer course schedule 

not to mention my side Japanese self study work

so you can understand that I've used every

Possible moment free 

to read this book

and that's why it get a freaking 5/5 

and it deserves more!

I can't wait for the Fall

Bible of the Dead Book review

Hello my kittens~~

Today's post is going to be a book review!!

It's the

The Bible of the Dead

By my favourite thriller author of all time

Tom Knox

Or so is his pen name

but away with my stalkery gained information...

~~~

Let's get to why I like Tom Knox

the best thing about him is that all the historical facts about where

the story is going is true, so not only do you enjoy a book

but also learn a few things here and there.

I've been reading Tom Knox's books since the Genesis secret, and 

I have yet to be disappointed

This man knows how to write his thriller books

I'm not going to say horror cause it's more of a thriller

even though the amount of violence is very strong

I'm just in love with this book, and how it ties old true facts with a modern

time story, each character has to go their own

maze to self discovery, and along the whole book

you question your own beliefs and thoughts

constantly asking what if?

plus being the Scientist I am, I was able to scientifically link an interesting plot line

as in why this is done and why this happened

with facts I know from real life and it fits *with the whole scientific facts in the book*

It's really hard to talk about the book without saying any spoilers so I'm going to stop here

the book gets a 5/5 I want to give it 10xmillion/5 because it's that good

I never wanted to put it down

and I went through the drunk from the book richness symptoms after finishing the book

I'd recommend this book to those who can handle violence and strong imagery

as this book just like the books before it are not for the weak of heart~

Feb-April Beauty Haul

Hello my kittens~~

so today's post is the Beauty haul which will include mini reviews 

mainly because I don't really overpurchase

beauty products, I only buy a bit

every now and then for testing

in contrast to Video games/ Books and nerdy things

which must be done every month XD

~~~

So let's start with my Scent I've been in love with 

Which is Couture La la~~ <3

I already had the Viva La Juicy and  I still love it

But I love sweetness in Couture La La,

I'm just in love with it~~

Oh yeah and surprisingly I always choose girly perfumes,

not super fruity, just subtle and sweet

I don't know why? Only thing that I get and is always girly~~

~~~

Next is my PrettyandCute.com haul~

I got a few things~

First is the Lioele Dolkish Veil Vita BB cream 

in Shade 2: Natural Green~

 It comes in a very cute package light purple

I got this shade because my face tends to become red for no reason whatsoever

and this helps a lot!

Not only does is help reduce pimples! Yes when I have a pimple in the morning

and I apply this, when I come home the pimple is greatly reduced!!

but also it lasts for 6 hours without setting it with powder 

with NO oiliness showing at all!!

Only after 6 hours does it show a hint of oiliness which can be taken care of

with a good oil blotting sheet~

The only problem with this product is that it's very very drying...

Coming from a girl with an Oily combination face!

that's why I always apply my Loreal UV Perfect first

which is very moisturizing but tend to become oily as the day passes,

then I apply the BB cream to get a good balanced look~

So if you have a dry skin, this BB cream might not be for you

it gets a 4.5/5 for the dryness

but it's perfect for summer, very light, breathable, doesn't need powdering to set it

and doesn't become oily after a short wear~

Lioele Secret Pore Rich Balm

I super love this balm~

it's great for when you just have a few errands to run or a couple of classes and don't feel like putting 

tons of stuff on your face~

it has powder particles in it which gives a matte finish that lasts for 4+ hours 

which is amazing considering this is meant to be a base

it also give a soft velvety feeling~

it can also be a bit drying though so apply your moisturizers before applying it

it gets a 5/5 from me

because it's an amazing mattefying base 

that also works wonders alone~ <3

Next is Holika Holika: Magic Oil Control Film~

I really like this Oil blotting sheet, the package is super cute~

and it works really well! as good as the No7 oil blotting sheets!

the only pro this one got over that No7 one is the cuute package!

otherwise they both work amazingly!!

Totally recommended for the summer~~

OMG this is probably one of the best sheet masks I've ever used!!

It's My Beauty Diary Royal Jelly Mask

This mask feels amazing! my skin felt amazing for a whole week after applying this,

it was healthy, soft and radiant

I didn't want to take it off because it felt so good!!

but after removing my skin felt even better!

Next time I order from pretty and cute I'm order a whole box if not 2 because this is amazing!!

10/5 because it's that good!!

Holika Holika Magic Fresh Mask sheet,

this mask was recommended because I have an Acne prone skin 

The mask did feel refreshing during and after application

but I didn't see any change in my skin after use,

my skin felt the same and wasn't as excited 

as it was after the Royal jelly mask

so I guess if you were having a hot day and wanted a cooling mask this is it~

it gets a 4/5 

because it's just a cooling mask nothing else

~~~

So that's it for this beauty haul~

as you see I don't buy as half beauty products as I do to video games XD

well it's not necessary if whatever I use is doing well for my skin~
